But after all the ups and downs they have been through together, there is one weird habit of Prince Harry that completely 'irritates' Meghan Markle, especially when it was inherited from King Charles.

What is Prince Harry's bizarre household habit?

Parents are there to impart to their kids the traits and abilities they'll need to thrive as adults. And it appears that Prince Harry shares one trait with his father, King Charles, that frequently leaves his wife, Meghan Markle, perplexed.

Both Prince William and Prince Harry had previously discussed a home practice that their father King Charles instilled in them when they were children and how they have carried out the practice as adults.

Years ago, the Duke of Sussex discussed the practice in a documentary about his father, and Prince William also said he was a participant. They are all driven to constantly switch off the lights when they do not use them.

In the film Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70, Harry described their father as 'a stickler for turning lights off'. The Duke said:

And that's now something that I'm obsessed with as well, which is insane because actually, my wife goes 'Well, why turn the lights off? You know it's dark.

He continued, saying it was 'one of the key lessons' the King taught him:

I go 'we only need one light, we don't need like six', and all of a sudden, it becomes a habit and those small habit changes he's making, every single person can do. And I think that's one of the key lessons that I felt he taught us.

William agreed with his brother, adding: ‘I know I've got serious OCD on light switches now which is terrible’.

Another weird habit inherited from King Charles

According to the Mirror, the two brothers gained another habit from Prince Charles too, and Prince Harry revealed he was even mocked for it in school.

Harry said he would ‘get taken the mickey out of’ at school as a result of his love for picking up litter. The Duke said:

I used to get taken the mickey out of at school for just picking up rubbish.

He added:

I don't go consciously looking for it. When you go for walks anywhere, if you see something, it stands out, you pick it up.

Deteriorating relation between Harry and King Charles

But although Harry used to speak highly of his father, the two now have ‘near rock bottom’ relations.

And it seems that Harry will decline Charles' invitation to spend Christmas with him before the prince's book is published worldwide on January 10. The book, which is titled Spare in honour of him growing up under William's shadow, has already shocked the royal family.

According to insiders, it was believed that following the Queen's passing, the feuding cousins would ‘thaw relations’.

But according to reports, they have ‘no plans’ to reassemble with the family at Sandringham Estate in Norfolk for their first Christmas without the Queen.

The royals, according to an insider, were 'completely caught by surprise' with the book's title and further information on Harry's ‘raw, unflinching honesty’ delivery.

One person continued, ‘This book could spell the end for any relationship Harry wants to have with his family, it’s desperately sad’.
