Royal aides feel Meghan’s new podcast is ‘unfair’

Archewell Audio’s first podcast, Archetypes was released recently, where Meghan Markle spoke with Tennis player Serena Williams. The two discussed how the word ‘ambitious’ takes on different meanings for women and how they experienced it themselves. As Meghan shared from her experiences on the first podcast, The Sun reports, Buckingham Palace is worried about what may come next.

What’s next?

Recollecting how the word ‘ambitious’ translated to different meanings for her, she indirectly took a hit at the Royal Family. It was after this that Royal biographer and Meghan’s friend Omid Scobie claimed that the palace is nervous about what she might say next.

In his latest blog column, he confirmed how his sources told him that royal aides are keeping an ear out for the next 12 weeks. He wrote:

I’m told Buckingham Palace aides were most definitely not keeping calm, nor carrying on after the show’s premiere on Tuesday, worried about what else might be shared over the next 12 weeks.

Two aides have already pushed back on Meghan's 'precise recollection' of events in South Africa – one told a tabloid that it was a smoking heater, not a fire (does it matter?) and another claimed it is 'unfair' to share such stories when the Royal Household cannot comment.

Defending Meghan and Prince Harry, he wrote:

Uncensored and unbothered, Meghan, like Harry, has managed to create a healthier and happier existence since being shown the door after the couple’s half-in, half-out proposal was rejected. The two are now free to show their battle scars as and when they see fit.

Meghan’s side

The apprehensions come after Meghan confessed to feeling the negativity of the term after being a part of the Royal Family. She shared with the listeners:

So, I don’t remember ever personally feeling the negative connotation behind the word ambitious until I started dating my now husband.
And um, apparently ambition is, uh… a terrible, terrible thing, for a woman that is – according to some.
