Meghan Markle’s blog post contradicts her claim she didn’t know the Royal Family

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been making headlines for a few years now, especially since they moved away from the Royal Family and moved to Montecito, US. One of the most significant claims the former actress has made is that she didn’t know who Prince Harrywas and didn’t research the Royal Family.

However, an old blog post has put into question whether that claim is entirely accurate.

Meghan used to run a blog

Before joining the Royal Family, Meghan Markle ran a blog called The Tig, which focused on lifestyle and such. Meghan gave her readers tips, advice and ideas for all things from travel to food as well as beauty and lifestyle.

The Duchess of Sussex shut her blog down in April 2017, a few months before it was announced she and Prince Harry were engaged.

However, a post from 2014 has now resurfaced and has restarted the debate on how much Meghan Markle really knew about the Royal Family before joining it.

Meghan’s blog post about Kate Middleton

As reported by Page Six, Meghan Markle wrote a post in 2014 about Kate Middleton’s wedding to Prince William. In the blog post, she appears to be looking down on Princess Kate’s choice to marry Prince William.

Markle allegedly wrote about young girls dreaming of becoming princesses and that some don’t grow out of their childish dreams:

Grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy.
Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal wedding and endless conversation about Princess Kate.

It seemed as though the Duchess of Sussex was following the wedding, but from a disapproved point of view and was in a sense, fed up with all the talks about the big day.

Meghan had also written that her dream of being a princess followed more ‘She-Ra, Princess of Power’:

For those of you unfamiliar with the ’80s cartoon reference, She-Ra is the twin sister of He-Man and a sword-wielding royal rebel known for her strength.
We’re definitely not talking about Cinderella here.

It is entirely possible that like the rest of the world, Meghan Markle was following the wedding and knew who the main members of the Royal Family were.

As Vanity Fair suggests, the problem is no one really know 'how much' she knew before joining the family—only she knows the whole truth.

However, several media are suggesting that this blog post is proof that she might have known a lot more about the family than she initially let on.
