Meghan Markle has taken on many projects in recent years. Indeed, she has a $100 million (£78 million) deal with Netflix, which allowed her and Prince Harry to share their docu-series, Harry & Meghan. It also gave a platform to Meghan to share what she loves best—cooking for others—with her latest show, With Love, Meghan.

The Duchess of Sussex has also recently launched her own podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, which has two episodes so far. Finally, one of Meghan’s biggest projects has been the development of her lifestyle brand, As Ever.

The brand’s first launch was on April 2, 2025, after months of teasing. According to Meghan, her products sold out in under an hour. As the mum-of-two prepares her next launch, she talks about whether or not President Trump’s tariffs will affect her brand.

As Ever shouldn’t be affected by tariffs

Speaking to Fortune, Meghan Markle talks about her brand and what President Trump’s tariffs mean for As Ever. According to Markle, Trump’s new tariffs shouldn’t affect her products, as they are ‘made in the US’.

At the moment, all of our products are currently made in the US, so we don't anticipate tariffs affecting us directly.

She goes on to explain that she wants her brand to be seen as a ‘comfort’ during these difficult times, while still being ‘accessible and affordable’. Meghan then talks about ‘the expansion of the brand’ while keeping it accessible.

I wanted to create products that look more prestige, but are more accessible and affordable. I think during any time of recession, people still want to find creature comforts, items that can bring them joy.
From our standpoint, certainly for me, even in the expansion of the brand, things should still feel accessible.

Not only is Meghan successful in her business ventures, but the mum-of-two recently opened up about her day-to-day life, revealing she is ‘the happiest she’s ever been’.

Meghan Markle talks about her ‘happiest’ life

On April 23, Meghan sat for a conference at the TIME100 Summit in New York City. The host, TIME CEO Jessica Sibley, asked Meghan for a confession — a nod to the 43-year-old’s podcast. Meghan decided to confess she’s ‘the happiest she’s ever been’.

I think the confession for you today, that I could very comfortably say, is I'm the happiest I've ever been. Of all the things that have happened in my life, I never would have imagined that getting here, at this point, I feel just so happy and grateful. I really do.

The mum-of-two puts her happiness down to her family — Prince Harry, Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3. In fact, Meghan revealed at the summit that her son is losing his first tooth and she ‘hopes she’s back in time’.

Archie is losing his first tooth, and I just hope I’m back in time for it, that’s all that matters.

The Duchess briefly talked about her cooking show and revealed she didn’t film in her kitchen, as she didn’t want too many people in her kitchen for her children’s sake:

80 people in the kitchen isn't really the childhood memory I would love for them to have.
