It’s never too late
The Queen’s funeral has emotionally changed a lot of things for the Royal Family and the people around them. While on one side Prince Harry is making changes to his explosive memoir after the olive branches extended towards him, Meghan Markle’s father and brother hope for a rekindling of their relationship with the Duchess as well.
Speaking on behalf of his father, Thomas Jr told Mirror:
Dad treated you [Meghan] like a princess your entire life and deserves the respect. You didn’t call him for his heart attacks or stroke, but it’s never too late.
Hoping Meghan will take steps to fix things too, he added:
I’d like to send this invitation for her to do the right thing and make amends with her father.
But she also has to make amends with our sister Samantha and myself.
Everyone makes mistakes – it’s never too late to do the right thing.
Meghan and her estranged father’s ongoing row have lasted for many years now and Prince Harry has never met his father-in-law.
The Queen wanted amends too
In a latest book on the Royals – The New Royals, by Royal insider Katie Nicholl – claims have been made that even Queen Elizabeth II wanted Meghan to sort things out with his father. The Sun confirms that the Queen felt ‘Harry should have met Thomas before the wedding.’
She felt that Meghan could’ve handled the situation with her father Thomas, who hasn’t ever met Archie or Lilibet, in a better way. A close family friend claimed:
It was the Queen's feeling that Meghan should sort things out with her father.
