A rumour from the past almost killed the famous friendship between the royal couple and the Beckhams leaving Victoria Beckham embarrassed after Meghan Markle accused her of leaking news about the couple to the tabloids and tensions are rising again.

Markle has understandably been on guard for any potential betrayals surrounding leaks to the tabloids and reports have surfaced last week about a past accusation that Victoria was leaking news to the press. The claims were quickly cleared up as Prince Harry took the issue straight to his longtime friend David Beckham leaving him feeling mortified. A source told the Sun:
"Harry was very polite, but obviously it was a pretty awkward exchange and David was mortified."
Posh Spice and Markle were reportedly instant friends at the start with Victoria even cultivating a list of stylists and salons for Markle in 2017 which was later given to the press, arousing suspicion on behalf of Markle. However, the list was reportedly leaked by a salon worker.
The rumours were cleared up, and a source declared that the claims were ridiculous: “...I mean, the idea that Victoria Beckham would be personally ringing journalists to give them a scoop is ridiculous. And spoke to Harry about it."
Regardless, Victoria Beckham was left embarrassed and scared for her reputation after keeping her cards to her chest for so long, always being cautious about the company she keeps. A source told Closer Magazine:
"Vic was mortified when it happened. She and David were both shocked and hurt - so it was hard for her to relive the same feelings after details resurfaced of the alleged leak amid the furore around Harry and Meghan stepping back from the royal family.
Since then the relationship has been repaired as the Beckhams were invited to the Royal Wedding in 2018. Markle has also been seen wearing one of the designer's pieces as late as last year at the 2019 Commonwealth Service.
Let's hope the latest royal scandal isn't the last straw for the famous friendship.
