Ghislaine Maxwell has spoken out for the 'very first time' in jail. Allegedly suffering from depression after losing everything, Maxwell gave an exclusive interview to TalkTV where she discussed everything from Jeffrey Epstein, Prince Andrew, and Virginia Giuffre, to supposedly meeting the late Queen Elizabeth.

Regrets meeting Jeffrey Epstein
The former British socialite expresses how much she regrets meeting Epstein:
I obviously wish I’d never met him, you know, looking back now. I probably wish I had stayed in England... I tried to leave and start a new job and move on from the end of '98 and '99. I wish that I had been more successful at moving on.
Maxwell recounts how she supposedly had no idea of Epstein's true nature:
At the time, I wouldn’t have a problem introducing people to my friends, to him, because I didn’t know he was so awful.
And, she doesn't believe he died by suicide in his prison cell:
I believe that he was murdered. I was shocked, I wondered how it had happened.
Defends Prince Andrew, accuses Virginia Giuffre
Maxwell continues to defend the disgraced Prince Andrew, believing that the photo of him, Virginia Giuffre, and herself 'was a fake'. She added:
I don’t believe it’s real for a second, I’m sure it’s not, there’s never been an original. Further, there’s no photograph, I’ve only ever seen a photocopy of it. I don’t believe it happened, and it's certainly the way I’ve described would have been impossible.
The former socialite uses the interview as an opportunity to try discredit victim Virginia Giuffre. She claims:
Her stories have changed so many times about what happened, when it happened, how it happened, with different versions, and each time she speaks there are different versions.
In fact, if you look at her BBC interview on the Panorama I believe she says that he… Yes she says that he [Prince Andrew] puked on her face, that’s the only time she ever said that.
In 2022, Giuffre withdrew her allegations against attorney Alan Dershowitzsaying 'I may have made a mistake in identifying Mr. Dershowitz' when she also accused him of sexual abuse. Maxwell refers to that when she further questions Giuffre's credibility:
If her memory is so poor then how can you rely on anything that she says. I don’t know which it is, either her memory is so bad you can’t credit anything she says or it’s more disingenuous than that...
Once you retract on two men you make claims against on the grounds your memory is faulty like I said I think that you know you have to question everything that she says.
Some might think that these statements should give Prince Andrew hope of clearing his name. However Nigel Cawthorne, author of Prince Andrew: Epstein, Maxwell and the Palace, told Newsweek that Maxwell's status as a convicted sex trafficker could mean her words fall on deaf ears: 'It wouldn't normally help you in a court would it?'
Cawthorne added that the public will continue to emphasise with Giuffre and she will always be perceived as the victim.

Meeting the Queen
Maxwell then claims she once met the late Queen Elizabeth, who she thought 'was one of the most exceptional women I ever had the honour and privilege of briefly meeting'. She continued:
I think anybody of her stature and the longevity of her reign, her elegance and sheer capacity for dedication to her work and to her job really was just astonishing and it was one of the greatest privileges of my life to have the honour to meet her.
She claims her and the Queen, who had 'a sparkle in her eyes that was just mesmerising really' had something in common:
A story we shared was about horses because I like horses and she loved horses so we talked about horses briefly I remember and just shared a love of horses, and that was one of her great loves.
Victims
Throughout the interview, the former socialite fails to take any responsibility for the crimes she has been accused of. When asked what she would say to the victims who want her to remain in jail, she said:
I say that Epstein died and they should take their disappointment and upset out on the authorities that allowed that to happen and that as I said I hope that they have some closure by the judicial process that took place and I wish them time to heal and to be able to have a productive and good life going forward, that’s what I hope for them.
Maxwell believes the biggest misconception about her is that 'I’m the crudest, meanest, horriblest person that’s committed crimes.'
