Clearing his name
Mail Online reports that theDuke of York’s move to seek a reopening of the sexual assault lawsuit comes after Giuffre dropped a lawsuit against another man, admitting that she could have been mistaken when identifying him.
According to the grapevine, King Charles isn’t against Prince Andrew taking legal action to try and clear his name. However, the King has supposedly warned the Duke that he would be permanently exiled from Royal life.
The publication claims that Prince Andrew didn’t necessarily want to settle but that he was left with no choice for fear the lawsuit would negatively affect his late mother, Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee. A source claimed:
Andrew felt as if he was in a pressure-cooker as if he was given no option but to settle. But he never wanted to settle and has always insisted he was innocent. He wants to see what legal routes might be available to him.
The source also added:
This isn't about the money. He wants a route back to some sort of normality after a deeply trying period.
Prince Andrew should ‘man up’
An American lawyer representing several Jeffrey Epstein’s victims called the Duke of York’s actions ‘desperate' and believes Prince Andrew’s chances of overturning ‘a negotiated and agreed settlement’ are slim to none. He said:
His chances of overturning a negotiated and agreed settlement are just about as much as Epstein coming back to life.
