According to a source, Sarah Ferguson has found a ‘powerful’ ally to help her reintegrate into the Royal fold, which would have been impossible were Queen Elizabeth or Prince Philip still alive. The latter believed the Duchess of York was ‘beyond the pale’.

An unexpected ally
A return to the Royal fold was unthinkable for Fergie up until a few months ago. The Duke of Edinburgh notoriously disliked Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah, especially following the ‘toe-sucking scandal’ that sealed the couple’s fate. One courtier once said of Sarah that she was ‘vulgar, vulgar, vulgar’.
But now that King Charles III is at the helm of the Royal Family, it would seem Sarah has found her in. Sarah apparently realises that Queen Consort Camilla is the true ‘power behind the King’. And as luck would have it, according to an insider, Camilla likes Fergie partly because they both share a passion for horses.
A source told Mail Online:
Camilla likes Sarah. They're both gentry. They share a love of horses
On top of this, Sarah has always shown herself to be loyal to her ex-husband and best friend, Prince Andrew, despite the accusations of sexual assault and sudden banishing from official duties.
However, the source believes Sarah has since learned to ‘play the game’, something she apparently regretted not knowing when she and Andrew were newlyweds. A source also said:
Fergie will be smart enough to play the game with Camilla and realise she is the power behind the King. She must be nice to them and support them.
Proof of acceptance
Christmas 2022, King Charles III’s first Christmas, was also Fergie’s first Christmas with the Royal Family in over 20 years. To the surprise of some, Sarah was also invited to participate in the traditional Boxing Day shoot.
It is believed the entire York household spent Christmas at Sandringham and was given the use of Prince Philip's Wood Farm.

The insider told the publication:
There was Fergie in the thick of it, chatting away to the King and Queen Consort on the Boxing Day shoot.
Boxing Day was typically something Prince Philip organised in the past, which meant if the rumours of his dislike for her are true, Sarah would never have been allowed to attend the shoot.
