A Very Royal Scandal: Everything you need to know about the series
According to BBC, Michael Sheen is set to star as the disgraced Duke in the upcoming series based on the image-wrecking interview.Luther actress Ruth Wilson will play journalist Emily Maitlis - who grilled the prince over his relationship with dead billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein in November 2019.
The three part series will follow Emily’s journey up to her face off with Prince Andrew. The former Newsnight host left BBC to host The News Agents podcast with former BBC journalists Jon Sopel and Lewis Goodall and is also the executive producer of the Amazon series which is in production in the UK. She took to X and wrote:

The series is written by Jeremy Brock - The Last King Of Scotland writer - and directed by Becoming Jane'sJulianJarrold. Other cast members include Joanna Scanlan as Andrew's ex-private secretary Amanda Thirsk, Alex Jennings as the late Queen's private secretary Sir Edward Young, and Eanna Hardwicke as Newsnight editor Stewart Maclean.

Michael Sheen’s involvement in the series comes after the star declared himself as a ‘not-for-profit-actor’ in 2021. The actor turned activist’s life changed after organising the 2019 Homeless World Cup in Cardiff, reported The Guardian. When funding for the £2m project fell through at the last moment, the 54-year-old actor sold his own houses to bankroll it.
Michael revealed:
I had a house in America and a house here and I put those up and just did whatever it took. It was scary and incredibly stressful. I’ll be paying for it for a long time.
However, the feeling he received after doing the good deed was unmatched and he decided to make it the way of his life. He shared that if he kept earning money, ‘it’s not going to ruin me.’ He then pledged to carry on using the money he earns from acting to fund more projects.
