Prince Edward's recent public appearances
He and his wife Sophie, now the Duchess of Edinburgh, stepped out for the first time with their new titles in Edinburgh on Friday 10 March. They met with members of the Ukrainian community at Edinburgh's City Chambers for the one year anniversary of the city's formal response to the invasion of Ukraine.
They then attended the annual Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey on Monday 13 March.
When Edward became Duke of Edinburgh, he also took over from his late father as patron of the Duke of Edinburgh Award and the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award.
On Tuesday 14 March, Edward hosted ten Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award participants at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.

Concerns over Prince Edward's health
Edward’s recent appearances have sparked concerns from Royal fans over the Duke’s health, most notably, his apparent weight loss.
Twitter user @ArabellaRober19 wrote:
Is the Earl of Wessex ill? He has suddenly lost so much weight.
@SamanthaNuttal9 replied:
He’s lost both parents in a relatively short space.
@Meesh_Cass tweeted:
That was my first thought as well. He has lost so much weight and has aged quickly.
@AnneHilboldt added:
I'm so glad you said something. I've thought the same thing. Every time I see pictures of him, he looks like he's lost more weight.
This is despite his apparent love for a bacon butty, a popular sandwich in Britain.
BUNTE.de claims that Buckingham Palace told the German publication: 'Everything is fine, Prince Edward is fine'. The publication added that when asked if the Duke is suffering from health issues, the Palace allegedly responded 'absolutely not'. However, it does not provide proof of this exchange.
