Big deal for Meghan
The Sun confirms that the PR agency’s senior partner Keleigh Thomas Morgan is friends with Meghan Markle. The firm’s PR chief was also invited to the couple’s wedding and also helped them house-hunt after they moved to the US.
Sunshine Sachs let Prince Harry and Meghan use their contacts and networks in the US after they moved and really helped them settle. As such, a source confirmed:
This is a really big deal for Meghan. She takes the view that she doesn’t need to pay an outside firm a lot of money to do PR for her and Harry anymore.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's charity Archewell's head of communications, Christine Schirmer, will now oversee the couple's public relations reports Mirror.
Who’s taking over?
Despite sharing a great bond with the company, the Sussexes’ decision of quitting the firm came as a shock.
However, an insider who knows the details of the company’s relationship with the couple claims that this was the couple’s plan all along. Reportedly, the couple wants to do everything under Archewell’s name. The insider said:
When Sunshine Sachs began working with the Duke and Duchess, the plan was always for it to be temporary until a full-time internal team could be created.
After they were hired, Sunshine Sachs worked alongside them to help the transition. All sides are on good terms and periodic advisory work continues.
