Her Choice!
Reportedly, the songs played by Idris Elba at the wedding were Meghan Markle’s choice and they were a hit. While co-hosting BBC Radio 1Xtra's Rap Show with Tiffany Calver on Saturday, the Luther star revealed Meghan's particular request. On the 19th of May 2018, Idris stepped to the decks at Windsor Castle for the post-ceremony parties. Discussing some of the significant moments in his life, he was asked what music the guests were dancing to, to which he replied:
Still DRE by Dr Dre went off! It was Meghan’s choice.
Apparently, Meghan Markle had requested Idris to play this hardcore tune at her wedding. Earlier while speaking to BBC Radio 1Xtra, he admitted:
Meghan sent me a playlist with some bare tunes on it.
Idris attended the event with his wife and was among the prominent guests for the wedding, which included George and Amal Clooney, Oprah Winfrey, and Serena Williams.

‘Most stressful’
According to reports, Idris and the Sussexes are good friends. Hence the wedding was not just an ordinary event for him; rather he had a lot of pressure to make it special. He previously opened up about the event on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and confessed:
They’re good friends and I wanted to make sure they had a good time, so there was a lot of pressure.
Explaining how it was the ‘most stressful’ gig he had done, he added:
This wasn’t like my cousin’s wedding. This was like, you know, this wasn’t at the community hall, the reception. This was a big deal.
