Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are delighted to visit several charities close to their hearts in early September.
Here’s what we know
Hello magazine confirms that the couple landed in the UK on Saturday morning (today morning) and as anticipated, their kids – Archie and Lilibet – didn’t come with them. What’s interesting is that the couple ditched their private jet and flew via a commercial flight, after Prince Harry was recently criticised for using private jets while giving climate change speeches.
Prince Harry and Meghan have a series of events lined up during their time in the country. And they will also travel to Germany briefly for the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games Dusseldorf 2023 One Year to Go event.
Meanwhile, in the UK, they will be visiting Manchester for the One Young World Summit on September 5. The Summit brings together young leaders from more than 190 countries and Meghan Markle is a counsellor for the organisation. On September 8, The Sussex couple will be attending the WellChild Awards.
No Family visits
It is also understood that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not be visiting any of their Royal Family relatives during this trip. Prince William and Kate Middleton are staying just 800m away from their stay in Frogmore cottage, whereas the Queen is in Balmoral and facing severe mobility issues. The duke and duchess will also not be travelling to Balmoral to visit her, even though they’ve free time in between.
