While accepting an award on Saturday, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry demonstrated their support for Ukraine. When Harry brought up the suffering of Ukrainians at the hands of Russia, the pair was on stage at the NAACP Image Awards.

United we stand
The President's Award was given to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for extraordinary achievement and excellent public service. It honoured their efforts through the Archewell Foundation, particularly their assistance in combating the Covid-19 outbreak and bringing attention to the Black Lives Matter movement. Before taking the time to discuss Russia's attacks on Ukraine, Harry praised the people the foundation supports for their warm welcome. He said:
Before I begin, we would like to acknowledge the people of Ukraine, who urgently need our continued support as a global community.
In a statement condemning Russian President Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine, Meghan and Harry earlier expressed their support for the country. The Sussexes wrote on their Archewell charity website:
Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and all of us at Archewell stand with the people of Ukraine against this breach of international and humanitarian law and encourage the global community and its leaders to do the same.

In 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan established the Archewell Foundation. The foundation touts itself as an impact-driven non-profit whose mission is to uplift and unites communities – local and global, online and offline – one act of compassion at a time.
The comments came after it was reported that a kid was murdered yesterday when a Russian artillery fire fell on a Ukrainian children's hospital. According to the Kyiv Independent, two more children were injured in the blast, which occurred at the National Children's Specialized Hospital Okhmatdyt. Around 9 p.m. Friday night, major air raids were expected in Kyiv as Russian airdrops flooded the skies. Ukrainian administration reportedly, at least 198 Ukrainians have been murdered and 1,115 have been injured thus far.
