Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in the country for some of their pre-panned engagements and it is definitely not a leisure trip. However, staying minutes away from the Royal Family and still not meeting them or declining Prince Charles’s offer to spend time in Balmoral is still unusual.

Netflix Docuseries
The couple has enough time in between their events to make a quick stop for their Royal family members. But the fact that the Sussexes have chosen not to do so could be because of their upcoming Netflix project, confirms Mirror.
It is believed that the Sussexes might use this opportunity to film for their imminent Netflix docuseries in the UK. According to royal commenter Natalie Oliveri, Prince Harry and Meghan are highly likely to film themselves during their trip to Germany and England this month.
The couple were reportedly not allowed to film during the Platinum Jubilee celebration and maybe that is the reason why they are also not meeting any of the Royal Family members. Since if they plan to film their journey, the Royal Family members wouldn’t let them document their conversations. Oliveri confirmed:
Crews were not given official accreditation for the four-day weekend and warned they would be 'moved on' if spotted near the royal events.
She also added the former royal couple would not have any restrictions ‘about what they can and cannot film’ if they don’t meet the Royal Family members today.
Release date
The docuseries is expected to release somewhere after season five of The Crown. Netflix is keen on releasing the docuseries in a manner that it doesn’t ‘get scooped’ by Prince Harry’s upcoming memoir. An insider confirmed:
[Netflix executives] knew the book was coming out, which is why they wanted the series this year. They don’t want to hold off any longer.
