Expensive Sussexes

The Duchess of Sussex is a counsellor for the organisation and will be giving the keynote address at the summit. However, sharing a conference centre with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is not going to be cheap, confirms MailOnline. Reportedly, the bright young delegates will have to spend £ 1,000 per day to just attend the three-day event.

This £3000 doesn’t include accommodation or the cost of travelling to Manchester. If a delegate wants to bag private accommodation as well, the total cost of the three-day event would be £4,210.

What’s more interesting is that the Sussexes will not be paid for the event and approximately 30% of the delegates will be attending the event on a scholarship. Apart from the keynote event, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will take part in a round-table debate about equality.

Outrageous

One of the other issues of the summit this year would be how ‘economic insecurity’ is affecting the new leadership. This comes across as ironic as the summit is charging such eye-watering fees, reports Express.co.uk. A Twitter user commented:

Who in their right mind would waste £1,000 of their hard-earned cash to listen to a bunch of unqualified, preachy and hypocritical nonsense from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle?
Delusional thinking on their part!

While another wrote:

If they truly wished to change the narrative or how others view them, to a more positive one, this isn't the way to do it.

Before a final user concluded:

Save your money, they have nothing of interest to say, it's all been said before by someone else.
