Since he left the Royal Family four years ago, Prince Harry carefully chooses when to appear in public. While he was in New York City for Climate Week, the former member of the Firm took the time to join TV host Jimmy Fallon in a haunted house, leaving his fans delighted, and his haters wound up. Prince Harry appeared on the Tonight Show

On Thursday 26 September, people tuning in to watch the infamous Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show were in for a treat. Indeed, while the TV presenter has regularly attended spooky attractions in what he calls Tonightmares, this time he was joined by an unexpected guest.

Prince Harry made a surprise appearance in the haunted house, as part of a pop-up tourist attraction at the Rockefeller Center. Some fans were delighted to see the royal swearing during the clip, even though some of his words had been beeped.

While he explained he did not get easily scared, Prince Harry seemed pretty terrified during the ordeal, but he was not the only one.

In fact, the actors in the haunted attraction had not realized who they were supposed to scare, and got quite a shock themselves when it finally dawned on them.

A young woman, who played what looks like a zombie eating a human, even asked her colleague 'who was that?'. When her colleague revealed the identity of their mystery client, the woman gasped.

Internet users are divided over his surprise appearance

Fans and haters were both quick to react to the clip on X, which has amassed over 700K views. One woman commented on one of the actresses' reaction to seeing Prince Harry:

harry is adorable, that woman not realising that it was prince harry and then losing it when she realised it really was a valid reaction to meeting prince henry.

Many internet users called the former royal 'cute', and praised him for putting himself out of his comfort zone. Another fan commented:

I can't get enough of all the happiness Prince Harry brings to the world! this is good!!!

However, others were also quick to criticize the former member of the Firm for his past comments about the Royal Family, especially during his famous Oprah interview. While some threw baseless accusations at him, others called him out in the comments, and some actually insulted him. One internet user wrote:

What a clown! And I am not referring to Jimmy! Oh Harry … how you have fallen! So grateful that your grandmother, our wonderful Queen is not here to see just what an idiot you have become! You seem to have forgotten you are the son of a King!

Another person commented online, claiming the Prince had told lies about his family for money. They wrote:

Perhaps Jimmy should have walked Harry thru all the lies he’s told on every platform available about his own family for money… now that would have been more interesting.

It is safe to say the Prince's surprise appearance has left fans divided, but at least it got people talking about Prince Harry.
