Prince Harry once made 'cruel comment' about James Corden
According to the Daily Mail, the incident took place in December 2011, at the Arts Club in Mayfair. James Corden had just finished performing in the West End's play One Man, Two Guvnors when he joined David Beckham and Prince Harry, along with other friends, for a couple of drinks before Christmas.
While the evening was supposed to be an enjoyable gathering between friends, James Corden discovered the group had actually been drinking for a while when he arrived. As per reports, the night took a more intense turn when Prince Harry made a crude remark about the British actor's appearance in front of everyone. The Daily Mail has respectfully chosen not to republish the details of the comment.
A source explained to the tabloid:
Then it all kicked off, James was furious. It quickly emerged that Harry had told a joke and James definitely did not find it funny. To an outsider, it would have looked like there was a right carry on taking place.
Luckily, David Beckham quickly stepped in to defuse the tension between the two men. The source goes on:
Ever the peacemaker, he talked to both sides and reassured Corden that no harm was meant by the cruel comment.
He did a great job and managed to talk everyone around. Eventually, James calmed down and the night carried on. In fact, some of them went on from the Arts Club for another drink at the Savoy.
How is Prince Harry's relationship with James Corden today?
According to the source, which is reportedly close to the pair, Prince Harry and James Corden are now good friends, despite their very bad start. The source told the Daily Mail:
