The wedding celebrations for Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, India's wealthiest man, have become the centrepiece of this season's social calendar. Earlier this month Anant Ambani married pharmaceutical heiress Radhika Merchant in Mumbai. The Ambani wedding has become the longest wedding celebration of the decade.

The celebration included a £126 million pre-wedding party in March where Rihanna - who gave birth to her second child in 2023 - performed for 1200 guests, a £94.5 million cruise around the Mediterranean for 800 guests with performances from Katy Perry, Backstreet Boys and Pitbull, and 3-day wedding celebration at Mukesh Ambani’s 27-storey £780 million home. The events were a £563 million mega-nuptials bash and saw 5000 of the wealthiest guests celebrate together.

One may think that after spending millions of pounds the celebration would come to an end. However, the honeymoon has barely begun for the newlyweds. According to MailOnline, Anant and Radhika are set to host a two-month after-party at a prestigious country club in Slough and could get the Duke of Sussex to attend.

The couple is understood to be staying at Stoke Park in Berkshire until September to celebrate and Prince Harry - who has a net worth of £48 million - may just make an appearance at one of the events. An insider told The Sun:

The Ambanis don't do things by halves and so thought nothing of booking the entire venue for two months.
The cost is chicken feed to them. The bride and groom and family will attend different parties planned between now and September.
Security, which is tightened, has been told to expect Boris Johnson and Tony and Cherie Blair. Prince Harry is also said to be hoping to pop in.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams shared that the Duke was eager to get on the guest list alongside other Hollywood celebs and influential figures. He told The Sun:

The reason for the rumours [that Harry will attend] is very clearly the fact that you've got something that's very spectacular, and like Brooklyn Beckham's wedding, it's the sort of thing that they would want to make an appearance at.

Will Meghan Markle join Prince Harry at the Ambani wedding celebration?

Despite getting the chance to be at one of the biggest social events of the year, it is less likely that Meghan Markle will join Prince Harry if and when he comes to the UK for Ambani's after-wedding celebration. The Express reports Meghan’s absence can be narrowed down to security reasons.

This comes as Prince Harry has been trying to get his security restored after it was reduced following their departure from the Royal Family. The Sussexes are no longer entitled to the same level of security as they were when they were royals and Prince Harry is fighting with Ravec, the committee that determines security for royals and other senior public figures, to get this changed. Until that is resolved, it’s not likely that Meghan or their kids will visit the UK.
