In July, Prince Harry and ghost-writer Moehringer had finished the final draft of the Duke’s memoirs. But with no official release date and it still being unavailable to pre-order, questions are being raised about whether the Prince has had a change of heart.

What can we expect from the book?
The Guardian reports that few details have emerged on the book’s contents.
The book is ghost-written by writer and journalist Moehringer, who also wrote André Agassi’s autobiography. According to Robert Lacey, the reader can expect a ‘powerful and psychologically exploratory book.’ The book could potentially be a new standard on royal analysis, and Moehringer might also analyse the institution itself.
One source claims the contents are ‘juicy’ and ‘should make the royal family nervous.’
The publisher’s website states that the book relates ‘the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him.’
Indeed, Prince Harry promised:
A first-hand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.
As per The Guardian, royal observers expect the memoir to broach subjects such as Harry’s parenting, the death of his mother, Princess Diana, Prince Harry’s reportedly complicated relationship with his stepmother, the Queen Consort, but also ‘Megxit’ and maybe the bullying allegations.
When will it hit bookstores?
Express.co.uk reports that before the death of Queen Elizabeth II, there was still no official release date for the book, and it isn’t available to pre-order either.
Tom Bower, who wrote a biography of Meghan Markle, claimed that the Duke of Sussex is insisting the book be published in November. If it isn’t, 'it would be a breach of contract'; he told GB News.
It doesn’t surprise Mr Bower that the book is still being published in the wake of the Queen’s passing because he has claimed the Sussexes ‘finances depend on the book and Netflix.’
However, sources close to the Prince have denied these claims. On top of this, Penguin Random House announced that proceeds would be donated to charity, as per Express.co.uk.
Other royal experts believe the release date could be postponed, at least long enough for Prince Harry to include some chapters on the passing of his beloved grandmother.
They also warned that if the book went ahead as planned, it would look bad for Prince Harry. Especially if the book contains anything sensational or controversial. Experts fear it would cause irreparable harm to the strained relationship.
According to Express.co.uk, there has been no official statement by the publisher about whether or not the book's release has been postponed.
