Roe v. Wade overturn happened last month and was widely criticised by not just the general public but also prominent world leaders. Prince Harry was one of these world figures that opposed the law and somehow, he ended up getting mocked by a US supreme court judge for it.

Can’t catch a break!
Prince Harry appeared at the UN last week and during his speech he opposed the US decision to ban abortion in American states. He spoke about 2022 and said it was ‘a painful year in a painful decade’ and mentioned things like the Ukraine war, confirms Mirror. In the same speech, he also spoke about the ‘rolling back of constitutional rights here in the United States’ and that seemed to have touched a nerve or two.
This was Justice Samuel Alito’s first public remark since the judgement was passed last month. Dismissing the criticism from the Duke of Sussex, he said at a conference on religious liberty in Rome:
But what really wounded me - what really wounded me - was when the Duke of Sussex addressed the United Nations and seemed to compare the decision, whose name may not be spoken, with the Russian attack on Ukraine.
Is he really wrong?
Prince Harry’s opinion wasn’t the only one that was condemned by the US supreme court judge. Sky News reports world figures like Boris Johnson, French President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have also been dismissed for voicing their opinions.
Boris Johnson criticised the decision claiming it was a ‘big step backwards.’ Justice Alito, however, still felt the decision was right and that none of the world leaders should really be weighing in on ‘American Law.’ He said:
I had the honour this term of writing, I think, the only Supreme Court decision in the history of that institution that has been lambasted by a whole string of foreign leaders - who felt perfectly fine commenting on American law.
