The new Prince and Princess of Wales have inherited a new secret home from the Queen after her death – appropriately – in Wales. King Charles III and Camilla, Queen Consort, have previously loved spending time together at the Llwynywermod Estate outside of Myddfai. But would Prince William and Kate spend as much time there as King Charles?

New holiday home, maybe?
King Charles III purchased the vast, historic estate in a region of Carmarthenshire some 15 years ago, confirms Mirror. Around St. David's Day each March, King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla most usually relocated to the residence on the Llwynywermod Estate outside of Myddfai, close to Llandovery.
During this time, the King would pick up tasks in and around Wales to enjoy the house and yet not miss out on royal duties. Now that Prince William is the new Prince of Wales – after his father’s possession of the title for over 50 years – he has now inherited the ‘secret’ house that not many people know about.
The last time King Charles and Camilla were there at the estate was in April 2021 – weeks before the death of Prince Philip. Three cottages, a barn, and the main house make up the estate, which is surrounded by 192 acres of the Welsh countryside. Reportedly, King Charles looked for the ideal country retreat for up to 40 years before deciding on Llwynywermod. He frequently took breaks there, and visitors can actually book some areas of the estate.
More inheritance
Apart from being the new Prince of Wales – effective as of September 9, a day after her Majesty’s death – he has also inherited other titles, claims Wales Online. As the eldest surviving son of the ruling monarch, he also owns the Duchy of Cornwall – a private estate established in 1337 by Edward III.
