A birthday celebration for Lilibet
The Sussexes’ trip to the UK will be the first time their daughter, Lilibet will be in the country. It will also be the first time the Queen and the rest of the Royal Family will meet Lilibet in person.
According to media reports, Prince Harry and Meghan have organised a little birthday celebration at Frogmore Cottage on Saturday 4 June. The Sunday Timesreported that the Queen will miss Derby on Saturday, June 4 in order to spend time with her great-granddaughter, but also three of the Queen’s horses are no longer competing. Instead, it’ll be the monarch’s daughter, Princess Anne who will attend in her place.
The Cambridges already have plans
It would seem that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be elsewhere during this little family gathering. Indeed, as it is the Queen’s Jubilee weekend, the couple already has an engagement planned.
The couple will be visiting Cardiff Castle on behalf of the Queen - who has given out various roles for each working Royal for the weekend. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will meet the performers and crew taking part in the Platinum Jubilee Celebration Concert in Cardiff Castle according to Cosmopolitan.
The couple may be able to spend some time with the birthday girl if they chose to return to Windsor in the evening, but it is unclear what the Royal pair is planning.
