Prince William and Kate toured the Caribbean for eight days and it wasn’t the Royal’s smoothest foreign tour. After being hit by protests and multiple ‘PR disasters’, Prince William posted on Instagram to talk about his trip. One royal commenter has said the Duke of Cambridge tried to ‘overshadow’ Prince Philip’s memorial service.

Prince Charles is ‘petulant’
Columnist Carole Malone told GB News that Prince William tried to ‘overshadow’ Prince Philip’s memorial service with his Instagram post about his recent tour of the Caribbean with his wife, Kate Middleton.
Prince William posted on Instagram an open letter to the people of Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas, which according to Malone, was a ‘petulant’ act.
Carole Malone told GB News presenter Dan Wootton that posting such a thing on Instagram was a ‘huge risk to publicly disavow the ‘never complain, never explain’ mantra’. The ‘never complain, never explain’ mantra is a tradition where the Royal Family should never express their political views.
Malone then added:
William has created a row that never needed to happen.
This is his petulance, I think as well, we thought he’d change and become a bit of a grown-up but he hasn’t.
Have we forgotten that tomorrow is Prince Philip’s memorial? It could well be the last public outing that the Queen does.
She then finished with:
He has now overshadowed what may be her last public appearance with this row that never needed to happen.
He didn’t have to say anything, he could have just kept his mouth shut, he could have just thought of his gran instead of going on and responding to criticism of him.

Prince William’s Instagram post
Prince William posted a heartfelt message on his and his wife’s Instagram account as they ended their tour of the Caribbean. In his post, he talked about how these foreign tours are an ‘opportunity to reflect’.
He also talked about how he and Kate are ‘committed to service’ and for them, it is ‘not telling people what to do’.
He wrote:
It is why tours such as this reaffirm our desire to serve the people of the Commonwealth and to listen to communities around the world.
It is believed that Prince William wants to do things ‘the Cambridge way’ and is slowly modernising the Royal Family.
