A top secret mission

According to The Sun, the Prince of Wales treated his wife, Kate Middleton,to a James Bond-style weekend in Norfolk after Prince William was gifted the Welsh-built Aston Martin DBX707, the world’s fastest SUV, for a weekend test drive.

An insider claimed:

The delivery of the car was an operation worthy of the secret service in itself. It was very hush-hush.

It is reported thatthe future King was allowed to keep the Aston Martin ‘the whole weekend’, allowing him to ‘experience life like James Bond for a few days’.

According to the publication, the Prince of Wales was spotted behind the wheel of the Aston Martin zooming around the ‘winding country lanes of Norfolk’.

However, the insider clarified:

The only difference is, unlike 007, William had to hand the car back at the end of the weekend.

A Welsh car for the Prince of Wales

The Aston Martin DBX707, which costs £189,000, was the first production car built in Wales in over 50 years. The factory is located in St Athan, South Wales, and production created almost 1000 jobs.

According to the insider:

It is not a coincidence the car was one that was built in Wales by Welsh workers.

The fastest SUV in the world is yet to feature in a James Bond Movie. The infamous 007 has driven many a different model over the years. The 2021 film No Time to Die was the first Bond movie to feature four iconic models – the DB5, the V8, the GT-DBS and the Aston Martin Valhalla.

Barbara Broccoli, the James Bond film producer, announced after receiving her CBE that the Prince of Wales was the ‘perfect candidate’ to play James Bond.

She said when asked who the next James Bond would be:

Unfortunately, the person we just met (Prince William) isn’t available. He’s occupied, unfortunately, but he would be the perfect candidate. He ticks all the boxes.
