Prince William will be going to yet another Earthshot event without Kate, here's why

The Earthshot Prize Awards is a relatively new event focusing on solutions to climate change and environmental issues from 2021 to 2030. The first Earthshot event was hosted in 2021 at London's Alexandra Palace. The second Earthshot event was held in Boston, US in 2022. Prince William and Kate had attended both events together.

However, this year may be a bit different for the Royal couple as it has been announced that the Prince of Wales will attend this year’s Earthshot event in Singapore alone. It hasn’t been revealed the real reason whyPrincess Kate isn’t attending the event, but given the time of year, there is a possibility it has something to do with the couple’s three children.

Princess Kate will be staying with the children

As reported by Hello!, the Earthshot Prize Awards will be held on November 7, 2023, which falls on the same week that young Prince George will be taking his exams. It has been suggested that Princess Kate is staying home to support her eldest child.

Prince George, 10, is currently in year 6 at Lambrook School in Berkshire, where his two younger siblings, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5. Year 6 in the UK is when pupils take their SATs (Standard Assessment Tests).

Prince William and Princess Kate have been going on more solo trips

If you follow the Royal Family and their outings, you will have noticed that Prince William and Princess Kate have been going on more and more solo trips, which isn’t majorly surprising as they are the next in line to the throne.

Indeed, earlier this month, Prince William flew to New York, US to attend the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit. Then, as the Royal Patron of Welsh Rugby, Prince William visited Bordeaux in France to attend the Rugby World Cup match Wales v Fiji.

Princess Kate also attended a Rugby World Cup game as the Royal Patron of English Rugby, she travelled to Marseille, France to support England as they played against Argentina.
