Princess Charlotte has a striking resemblance to this Royal Family member

Royal watchers have been left stunned by Princess Charlotte’s uncanny resemblance to Lady Sarah Chatto, the late Queen’s only niece.

Who is Lady Sarah Chatto?

Lady Sarah Chatto is the only daughter of Princess Margaret and Antony Armstrong-Jones. She is currently 28th in line to the throne.

Despite being one of the lesser-known Royals, it is believed that Lady Sarah shared a special bond with the late Queen Elizabeth, which strengthened with the passing of Princess Margaret in 2002. She is also very close to her first cousin, King Charles III. She served as a chief bridesmaid at his first wedding to Princess Diana and is godmother to Prince Harry.

She leads a reasonably private life as a painter with her husband, David Chatto, and their two sons, Samuel and Arthur.

‘Twins, fifty years apart’

The Twitter account @RoyalFamilyGB posted a photo of Lady Sarah Chatto from 1970 alongside a snap of Princess Charlotte from 2022. The resemblance is uncanny.

Many social media users quickly commented on how alike the pair were, noting they had the same eyes, button noses and mouth shape. The two Royals even sported similar hairstyles and clothes.

One user commented:

These photos are spookily alike.

Another agreed:

That's really wierd. Feel like they could be twins

A third commented:

Wow! They could be identical twins! Amazing!

Not the only Royal look alike

Many fans also pointed out that the young Princess also bears strong resemblances to the late Queen herself, her grandmother Princess Diana, and her father, Prince William.

According to Express, the future King also sees the uncanny Royal alikeness between his daughter and himself.

In 2020, while visiting Bradford, Prince William saw a photograph of himself from 1992 and was taken aback by what he saw.

Prince William exclaimed:

Is that me? Doesn’t it look like Charlotte?

And then repeated in disbelief:

Is that me? That looks just like Charlotte.

Kate Middleton agreed with her husband, stating that the photograph ‘looks so much like Charlotte’.
