The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, has been urged by the advisers of the royal family to walk out of the £100 million deal with media giant, Netflix.

The year before, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle secured a contract with Netflix to create documentaries, features, and children's shows through their new production firm, Archewell Productions. They are now being pushed to boycott the contract as members in and outside of the family believe that the late Princess Diana was portrayed 'disrepectully' in Netflix's series, The Crown.
Duchess of Wales' disdain
Princess Diana’s confidant, Jemima Khan, 47, stomped off from the advisory role of the character of the Princess, which is being played by the Australian actress, Elizabeth Debicki. She even asked the directors to scratch her name out of the end credits.
Khan thought the story didn’t do justice to commemorate Diana’s memory and said that it's:
Not told as respectfully or compassionately as I had hoped.
When our co-writing agreement was not honoured, and when I realised that particular storyline would not necessarily be told as respectfully or compassionately as I had hoped, I requested that all my contributions be removed from the series and I declined a credit.
The critically acclaimed Netflix series, The Crown, is a lavish drama chronicling the life of Queen Elizabeth II. The fifth season is said to be out next November and the script visits various controversial instances from the last-leg of the Duchess of Wales' life.
It depicts her divorce from Prince Charles, her romances with heart surgeon Hasnat Khan and billionaire Dodi Fayed, and her shocking BBC interview with Martin Bashir.
A baffled Harry
Harry received several backlashes from people within and close to the family regarding him not taking a stance for his late mother; including Ingrid Seward, editor of Majesty Magazine, who believed:
I don’t think Harry gets it. I presume when he did the deal with Netflix he didn’t think it through — but Meghan would have, she’s not an idiot.
He talked about The Crown during his bus interview with James Corden, so he’s not totally oblivious.
In the past, Netflix has been under fire for the erroneous portrayal of Princess Diana, in a musical, criticised as ‘degrading.’
Angela Levin, author of Harry: A Biography of a Prince, has also gone on record and said:
Harry has remained absolutely silent about Netflix. He should tear the deal up and make a stand for his mother.
What’s more important? Money or defending his mum? It’s astonishing he can’t find his voice on this.
