The terrible virus that has plagued the world has left no one behind, not even the royal family. It has been an especially hard time for Princess Michael of Kent, who tested positive for COVID late last year. The Queen’s cousin’s wife, who is 76-years old, has recovered from the virus, but is now reportedly sick with blood clots.

A source confirmed the reports, telling The Sun:
The princess has been unwell and has sought medical attention. It has been a worrying time for those around her.
It has been difficult for those close to her to see her suffering. She’s really been through it.
Getting COVID
Last November, the Princess self-isolated at her home in the Kensington Palace after she contracted the disease from her housekeeper. She was not the only royal to be infected with COVID. Prince Michael also tested positive at the same time, but he has remained in good health since his 14-day quarantine. Unfortunately for the Princess, her troubles with COVID did not stop there.
According to The Sun, Princess Michael of Kent fell ill after she took both her Oxford/AstraZeneca jabs earlier this year. This particular vaccine has been linked to rare cases of blood clots, and the Princess is one of the few people in the country who has fell victim to this strange phenomenon.
Other royals who have tested positive
Prince William and Prince Charles are among the handful of royals that have been tested positive for COVID.
Last March, Prince Charles was infected with the disease but only suffered mild symptoms. He self-isolated in Scotland for a week, away from wife Camilla who did not test positive.
Several weeks later, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that Prince William had contracted the virus. Sources from the Palace claimed that the Prince was hit especially hard, and had difficulty breathing. Duchess Kate and their children were COVID-negative, and so he quarantined away from the family in the Sandringham estate.
