Low-key Annabel
The Booker Prize event was a few of Queen Consort’s rare appearances with look-alike younger sister Annabel Elliot. The younger sister of Queen Consort is an interior designer and antique collector. Annabel is two years younger than the Queen and was born in 1949. However low-key, the aristocrat is often seenwithin the Royal circle.
Annabel also runs a shop in Dorset for more than 30 years now. Reportedly, when Charles was still a prince, he commissioned his sister-in-law to be the chief interior designer of his estates in the Duchy of Cornwall.
Ranked as the fifth most influential female interior designer in the UK in 2014, Annabel has an impressive set of work to show for her skills. According to Express.co.uk, she has designed the interiors of 12 cottages on the Isles of Scilly, Restormel Castle and at Llwynywermod estate in Wales.
Annabel is married to a landowner named Simon Elliot and has three children – Ben, Alice and Catherine.
Siblings’ rivalry
One of the rare times that Camilla has spoken about her sister is when she talked about their sibling’s rivalry. Marie Claire confirms that Camilla buried her sister’s teddy bear. The two sisters apparently had an argument and the Camilla confessed:
My sister and I had a bit of an argument, so I buried him. It was sibling rivalry.
And Annabel seems to have still not forgiven the Queen Consort. On being asked:
Have you forgiven her?
She answered:
Certainly not. It still rankles to this day.
