A man has admitted to sexually assaulting a woman who waited for hours in line to see the Queen lying in state. The mourner was waiting in line at Victoria Tower Gardens at around 7.30 p.m. on September 14 – the day Westminster Hall opened its doors to the public to pay tributes.

The whereabouts
Adeshina Adio, 20, exposed himself and pushed into the mourner from behind before jumping into River Thames to escape police. The Sun confirms that Adio allegedly exposed himself to another woman in the queue, although the predator has denied such claims.
He did, however, also acknowledge that he had violated the sexual harm prevention order (SHPO), which forbids him from touching or exposing himself in public. Adio received the SHPO on August 3 from Inner London Crown Court.
Between 2020 and this year, the 20-year-old was convicted eight times for 29 offences, including sexual offences.
Court Case
Adio, a defendant from Walworth in south-east London, showed up at Southwark Crown Court on Friday while sporting a grey prison tracksuit. Adio had been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder earlier and has 'complex mental health issues.'
Before entering a guilty plea to sexually assaulting a lady who cannot be named for legal reasons and violating an SHPO, he spoke to authenticate his identity and date of birth. He was then remanded in custody until the next sentencing hearing on November 25 by Judge Jeffrey Pegden KC.
Meanwhile, Anita Arora, District Crown prosecutor, said:
What Adio did was disgusting, especially given the sombre nature of the event and the dignity of the vast majority of people attending the lying-in-state during the period of national mourning.
I hope that this prosecution encourages others who have been affected by this type of assault to come forward.
