Royal Baby: Prince William Struggling To Cope

The Duchess and Duke of Cambridge welcomed their third baby into the world this week on April 23. After being rushed to the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in London, their baby was born at 11:01am after a quick and relatively problem-free labour. Emerging from the hospital just hours later, the Royal Couple posed for pictures for paparazzi that had been waiting outside the hospital for a first shot of the newborn baby. Given the circumstances, the couple – specifically Kate – looked fantastic, dressed formally and fully made-up.

Age starting to catch up with Prince William

The few days following the birth have surely been tiring for the couple. Kate is currently on maternity leave and is tending to the newly named Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge. However, Prince William has had to jump right back into work, and his fatigue – and possibly age – is beginning to show.

When attending an Anzac Day church service at Westminster Abbey with his brother Harry and his fiancée Meghan Markle, a visibly exhausted William was spotted dozing off. Understandable, but still not a good look for a member of the Royal Family.

Paternity leave in the Royal Family

For Prince William, paternity leave was near non-existent. He only took two short days of paternity leave before returning to action and performing his Royal duties. Reports are stating that he may go back on break following this church service for a total of two weeks, but that remains to be seen.

The next public outing by the couple should be for the christening of baby Louis. Of course, their Pson George, 4, and daughter Charlotte, 2, will be in attendance.

Do we expect too much from the Royal Family? Should they be given the time allotted that private citizens receive after the birth of a new child?
