Lovehoney’s success
Over the last six years, Lovehoney has seen a remarkable growth in its global sales, going from £12 million to whopping £56 million. They are the leading sexual wellness brand in the UK, selling a range of products from vibrators to butt plugs, dildos, and lingerie. Lovehoney’s chief commercial officer, Debbie Bond said:
We are thrilled to have received official recognition from the Queen.
Her Majesty has been a wonderful supporter of Lovehoney as we have grown into being the world’s leading sexual wellness brand.
The Royal emblem
The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is more than just an accolade. Brands who receive this award have the authority to use the Queen’s Award emblem in their marketing, packaging, and advertising for the next five years. Bond believes that using this emblem will do wonders to spread the message of sexual wellness and happiness. Furthermore, she hopes that it will help the brand to expand and create more jobs. She added:
Royal patronage will help us to create more jobs at our Bath headquarters and in our international offices and spread the sexual happiness message globally.
The Queen is the UK’s greatest trade ambassador and royal approval shows again how mainstream shoppers and retail outlets are embracing sexual wellness products as never before and appreciating their importance in improving overall well-being – a particularly important message as we come out of lockdown after a stressful year living with the pandemic.
The Queen normally hosts a garden party for all the winners of the award, but this year's celebrations had to be cancelled because of the pandemic.
