It is common when wars break out, world leaders will make a statement on the situation. As Russia declared war on Ukraine, people may be wondering if the Queen has a speech prepared should things escalate even more than they have already.

Does Her Majesty have a speech prepared?
It would seem that the Queen does have a speech prepared in case World War Three breaks out, according to The Sun. However, this supposed speech isn’t new. It was revealed in 2013 that the Queen had prepared a speech in 1983 in case another world war broke out.
Her speech was prepared at the height of the Cold War between the US and the Soviet Union. Her speech was written by Whitehall officials but it was never recorded. It was drawn up as part of a war-gaming exercise in the spring of 1983, which assessed and prepared for potential scenarios.
The speech was written with the prospect of being broadcasted on television on midday, Friday, March 4, 1983, in order to prepare the country for WW3.

What would be in her speech?
With talks of WW3 on its way, it is interesting to know what the Queen might say. In her original speech that was prepared in 1983, she would have said:
The horrors of war could not have seemed more remote as my family and I shared our Christmas joy with the growing family of the Commonwealth
Now, this madness of war is once more spreading through the world and our brave country must again prepare itself to survive against great odds.
She would then go on and talk about her memories from WW2 of her father’s speech:
I have never forgotten the sorrow and the pride I felt as my sister and I huddled around the nursery wireless set listening to my father's [George VI's] inspiring words on that fateful day in 1939 [at the start of World War II].
Not for a single moment did I imagine that this solemn and awful duty would one day fall to me.
She would end her speech with:
As we strive together to fight off the new evil, let us pray for our country and men of goodwill wherever they may be. God Bless you all.
