It has been revealed that the popular Netflix series The Crown is allegedly preparing for the Queen’s death. Just like Buckingham Palace, producers of the show apparently have their own ‘Operation London Bridge’ in place in the event of the monarch’s death.

'Our own version of Operation London Bridge'
A series insider told the New York Post:
We have our own version of Operation London Bridge. This is particularly pertinent for if we are filming. Filming will shut down immediately if we are in production, for at least a week. There would also be lots of discussion about when to restart.
The fifth season of The Crown will hit our screens in November with actress Imelda Staunton playing the Queen. It will apparently address Princess Diana's infamous BBC interview with Martin Bashir. A source said, according to the Daily Mail:
Season five of The Crown will dramatise events surrounding the Panorama interview, given the pivotal part it played during the time period the new series covers.
It will reflect what we now know about how the interview was obtained and how Diana was treated.
Will The Crown continue past season six?
A sixth season has also been announced, and creator Peter Morgan has said it will be the last.
However, there is speculation that the ending of season six has been changed to leave it open to a potential sequel focusing on Prince Charlesand his sons Prince William and Prince Harry. Instead of ending in 2002, it will now apparently conclude with the 2005 wedding of Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles. A TV insider said, as reported by The Sun:
It’s a small but significant shift because it’s seen as marking the start of an era which becomes more focussed on Princes William and Harry and their father.
The marriage of Charles and Camilla is treated like the end of one turbulent period in the Windsors’ story, and the start of a whole new one.
Netflix apparently wants to follow up season five with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s docu-series, according to Page Six.
