The big question of whether the Cambridge kids – Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte – were going to attend Her Majesty’s funeral was answered finally. Reportedly, Prince William and Kate ‘thought hard before deciding that they were ready to take part in a procession’ and came to the conclusion that Prince George and Princess Charlotte are old enough to be a part of the historic moment.

Prince George and Charlotte were in attendance

Prince George and Princess Charlotte, apart from attending the funeral today, also used their new titles in Public for the first time. Last week, when King Charles III addressed the nation for the first time after the death of the Queen, he also informed people how Prince William and Kate Middleton inherited the title of Prince and Princess of Wales.

As such, their kids are now Prince George and Louis of Wales and Princess Charlotte of Wales. The 9-year-old Prince and 7-year-oldPrincess walked through the church behind the Queen’s coffin with Prince William and Kate Middleton, confirms People Magazine. This came after careful consideration and the fact that the two siblings were present during the memorial ceremony for Prince Philip in March at Westminster Abbey while the entire world was watching them.

Although the eldest Cambridge kids are still younger mourners than Prince William who was 15 when his mother passed away.

Why wasn’t Prince Louis there?

While Prince George and Princess Charlotte attended the funeral, Prince Louis was left behind. The 4-year-old who delighted the nation with his reactions during the Platinum Jubilee was deemed too young to attend his gan-gan’s funeral. Hello Magazine reports that Prince Louis is still trying to process everything that has been happening.

Kate Middleton revealed earlier that Prince Louis is asking all sorts of questions as he tries to comprehend what the passing of the monarch means. She said:

The younger one is now asking questions like, 'Do you think we can still play these games when we go to Balmoral,' and things like that, because she's not going to be there?

The youngest Prince of Wales has also provided his mother comfort through his words. Kate added:

They've all been extraordinary. I was really sad when I found out and Louis said, 'Mummy don't worry, because now Gan Gan is with great-grandpa'
