Prince Andrew and Sarah's amicable divorce
Not all divorces ended in disaster and hatred. It turns out for Prince Andrew and Sarah Fergusonhad an ‘amicable’ divorce and managed to stay friends. In fact, their divorce was so amicable that Ferguson has described themselves as the ‘happiest divorced couple.’ You often see the pair at events such as horse racing laughing together.
In an interview back in 2015, she revealed:
Andrew and I, we’re the happiest divorced couple in the world – extraordinary, really, isn’t it. We live in the same house, but then, it’s a big house, so that’s ok. But I think it’s really good that we believe in compromise and communication and compassion. And family.
In 2018 she also explained that she and Andrew ‘believe in each other’ even if they are no longer romantically involved.

Prince Andrew and Ferguson got joint custody
Another reason why the Duke and Duchess of York continued living together after their divorce may have something to do with their children. Indeed, together, they had two daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice and had joint custody, so perhaps to make it easier for the girls, they lived in the same home.
Another reason that could have led the former couple to continue to live together is that Sarah Ferguson has made it known that she was severely in debt after their divorce.
