Despite being 17th in line for the throne, Princess Anne still has a lot of royal engagements to look after. Not only does she carry them diligently but she also takes pride in the fact that she plays a significant role in the Royal Family.

Brother to the rescue
During a recent visit to the country around the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, Princess Anne realised something that was nothing short of a nightmare. Due to the ongoing ten-year £369 million renovation at Buckingham palace, all of her medals were boxed up and kept safe.
However, when she needed one, she couldn’t find the box. The palace staff had officially lost all of 13 medals, reports The Sun. Out of these 13, one of the medals was the Order of Logohu, which was given to Princess Anne in 2005 in Papua New Guinea.
The only other person in the world to have the same medal was Prince Charles. That’s when Princess Anne reached out to him and wore his medal instead. A source confirmed:
Anne couldn’t have represented the Queen without the order.
It would have been hugely embarrassing and could have been considered an insult to her hosts.
So, she wore Prince Charles’s instead. No one noticed. It was all very Monty Pythonesque.
Prince Charles thus helped the hardest working royal to save face and not offend her hosts.
Medals
It is believed that once the multi-year renovation project is complete, the box full of Princess Anne’s medals would resurface. It included foreign gongs from all over the world—including honours from Canada, New Zealand, Chile and Japan. The Order of Logohu was bestowed upon Prince Charles and Princess Anne in 2005, making them the ‘Royal Chiefs’ duo of commonwealth nations in the Pacific.
