Breakfast is the most important meal of the day
According toHello! Prince Philip's widow starts her day with a pre-breakfast of Earl Grey tea and a biscuit next to her corgis. Then it's time for breakfast, which she enjoys in her private dining room at Buckingham Palace. Queen Elizabeth II enjoys cereal, yoghurt and marmalade toast. For lunch, Queen Elizabeth II prefers simple dishes such as fish and vegetables. According to former royal chef Darren McGrady, the monarch's typical lunch is Dover sole on a bed of wilted spinach. A very important moment for the Queen is tea, accompanied by her favourite, a cucumber, egg and smoked salmon sandwich.
