Amber Rose Gill, the 21-year-old beauty therapist from Newcastle, left a lasting impression on viewers as she savagely shot down ex-islander Callum’s advances in the villa.
Close friend, Martin Tweedy, has revealed that since the show began the Geordie has received constant threats and nasty comments from internet trolls and has decided to take action and expose the haters.
On speaking to Metro.co.uk, Martin explained, “I think initially I just thought to myself if she gets to the final, this is eight weeks that she’ll be in solitary confinement without her friends or family’s support.”
“To come out of those weeks to an inbox full of hate and death threats, and things like that, I just thought something needs to be done here.” Her friend has also said that Amber’s mum has resorted to calling ITV’s welfare team for support walling the swarm of abuse chucked at her daughter.
