Love Island, the nation’s most-watched reality TV show, has been noticeably lacking in the ‘love’ aspect from the beginning of the series this year, and someone who knows all about this is original islander, Anton Danyluk.

Anton, a 24-year-old gym owner from Scotland, admitted on the show that due to a constant stream of rejections and friend-zoning, life in the villa has forced him into a reality check and humbled him as a person.

On his entrance, the Scotsman was not particularly well received due to a combination of over-plucked eyebrows and a borderline arrogant personality, however this all quickly changed as he struggled to use his chat to get on with any of the girls on a romantic level.

While audiences initially responded well to his character, perhaps just on a level of sympathy, it seems he has now taken on the role as advice counsellor of the villa, demoting Curtis to agony aunt following recent events. But in light his on-screen conversations viewers feel he would be better suited to a restaurant than gym if he likes stirring the pot so much.

Anton has been caught meddling with Lucie, advising her to confess her emotions to Tommy but soon afterwards bailing on the idea as it would not be fair to reject giving newbie, George Rains, a fair chance.
