I’m very single at the moment, I’m not talking to anybody. I would love to say I was dating and very happy in love but I’m happy, I’m just not in love... At the moment I’ve got no one in my old love life.
Echoing the feelings of many singletons over the past year, Chris said:
It’s hard at the moment, it’s hard to actually go and date. I like to go and meet people in person, I think you can gauge a very different personality in person than when you do over the internet or by phone or text. But hopefully one day we can go freely and safely meet people and date them.
Chris Hughes’ type
If Chris Hughes is a bit of you, then you might just be in luck as he hasn’t ruled out dating a non-celeb. He said:
I don’t think it really matters to me. I think an individual in the spotlight to me is no different to an individual out of the spotlight. I think we’re all human beings and that to me doesn’t really affect anything.
Chris Hughes dating history
Chris found fame on the 2017 series of Love Island when he coupled up withOlivia Attwood. The couple stayed together for several months after leaving the villa but split in February 2018. Olivia has since found love and got engaged to footballer Bradley Dack, who she had dated before Love Island.
Meanwhile, Chris has had a couple of short relationships with fellow reality stars Emily Blackwell and Stephanie Lam but neither of these lasted. His most high-profile relationship since Olivia was with Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson who he dated for almost a year. They split at the start of the first 2020 lockdown, although they’ve remained close.
