Danny Dyer Finally Speaks His Mind About Love Island In Hilarious Comments

Long before Sophie Piper and Tommy Fury, Dani Dyer was one of the first Love Island stars to hit headlines because of her famous relative. The daughter of legendary East London geezer Danny Dyer went on to win series 4 of the show with then-boyfriend Jack Fincham – and whilst he wasn’t exactly thrilled, he seemed pretty supportive of her big break at the time.

Now that two years have passed, and Dani’s relationship with Jack is ancient history however, Danny has finally spoken out and revealed his true feelings about the ITV2 reality show that catapulted his eldest daughter to stardom. Speaking on Romesh Ranganathan’s show The Ranganation, Danny let rip.

Romesh was discussing Netflix’s new show Too Hot To Handle, which has been touted by many as ‘the next Love Island’. When he asked Danny if he’d have preferred Dani to go on that show – since the rules prohibit contestants from touching each other – Danny brutally responded:

Yeah, also, the show's a pile of shit, Love Island.

Ouch! Danny also went on to seemingly insult his own daughter saying he wasn’t sure if she’d be right for Too Hot To Handle as he said:

I don't know. I can see what they're trying to do. Sort of trying to do all this spiritual connection stuff, but I would have thought you need quite intelligent people on the show to have some sort of spiritual connection.

We can imagine there might have been some raised voices in Casa Dyer after these comments! Anyway, it looks like Dani won’t be appearing on any more reality shows looking for love in the near future, as she’s recently gotten back together with on-off boyfriend Sammy Kimmence. Let’s hope third time’s a charm, eh?
