This change in the princesses' physical features left the internet indignant. After these attacks, the company decided to correct their mistake with a new trailer, which came out on 21st September. In it the heroine of Princess and the Frog was given her original features. These adjustments were praised in the Wall Street Journal by the Color of Change organisation, which aims to uphold the civil rights of African Americans. For them, it’s a ‘huge win for Black girls who look up to Princess Tiana’ and they explained in the journal that 'after conversations with Disney and Disney Animation about the character's appearance in 'Wreck-It Ralph 2', they addressed our concerns and restored Tiana to her original depiction.
