20-year-old Milly Zero will take on the role as she reunites with grandma Dot and we can be sure there'll be plenty of drama as EastEnders producer Jon Sen has promised that she is coming back to Walford 'with a bang'.
Milly said: 'I am honestly so excited to be playing Dotty Cotton and joining the E20 family, especially playing alongside June Brown, who I have been watching on my telly since I was a young girl.'
She also revealed that she's keen to dig in to the 'interesting' family history between Dotty and Dot - remember, Dotty was at one point plotting to kill her grandmother as part of her father Nasty Nick's scheme in order to snatch her inheritance.
Milly continued: 'Her and Dotty have such an interesting relationship to explore with a complicated history, so I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. It all feels very surreal and I am buzzing already.'
However, not everyone is so happy with the news - as original Dotty actress Molly Conlin, 18, has hit out at the decision to recast her role. Take a look at the video above to see the new Dotty and what Molly had to say about it!
