Katie and her entourage had started arguing with another woman and her group which quickly escalated into violence when Katie tried to take a chair from the other group's table.
A brawl then spilt out onto the street as what started off as pushing quickly turned to full-on hitting. Among the wreckage of the fight, chairs and tables were turned over and glasses were smashed to the ground.
An onlooker on the scene managed to capture a video of the fight and share it on social media. In the video, Katie can be seen in denim shorts and a black singlet yelling:
f***ing black c***,' and yelling, 'f*** Black Lives Matter!
In a second video, racially charged comments can be heard as Katie calls one of the women a 'dirty black c***' and was swearing at the rest of the group.
The fight eventually lead to Jarvis' arrest on the grounds of a racially aggravated public order offence following the pub brawl.
An Essex police spokesperson released a statement following the arrest:
A 29-year old woman was arrested on Friday 31 July just after 10.05pm following reports of a disturbance in Marine Parade, Southend. She has been arrested on suspicion of assault and racially aggravated public order. She has been released on bail until Friday, August 21.
