Following Series 10's Cancellation, Ex On The Beach WILL Return This Year

Popular MTV show Ex On The Beach was thought to be permanently cancelled when the show's tenth season was pulled from broadcast following Mike Thalassitis' death. However, telly insiders have now confirmed that the show will return before the end of 2019.

Love Island will soon be drawing to a close and we're going to be needing another new TV show to fill the gap. Luckily, it looks like just that could be on the way very soon in the form of MTV's Ex On The Beach.

Series 10 was scheduled to air on MTV earlier this year but was pulled by producers when Mike Thalassitis, who had already filmed his appearance on the show, passed away in March 2019. At the time, MTV announced they were cancelling the show out of respect for Mike's friends and family:

'We were very sad to hear the tragic news and our thoughts are with his family and friends. Last year, Mike took part in filming for the next series of Ex on the Beach, which was due to air on MTV later in the year. In light of the news of Mike’s death, we have decided not to broadcast the planned 10th season of the show.'

Whilst many assumed that this signalled the end of the show for good, MTV have now confirmed that the reality show will be returning to our screens later this year.

The long-running show sees singles confronted by their exes on an island and, of course, it's always full of drama. There are now international versions of the show in 14 countries including Brazil, Denmark and the USA.
