Despite his flawless baking skills in the semifinal, which aired Tuesday 8 November in the United Kingdom, the 34-year-old was eliminated from the much-watched baking competition.

According to MailOnline, the first Polish national to appear on the show took to Instagram to write a heartfelt message to his fans.

Janusz outfits' hidden meaning

Domagala made a stunning revelation that his outfits were to represent the LGBTQ+ community. He wrote:

Being chubby, gay and the first Polish national contestant on GBBO I knew I had a lot to represent walking into the tent.

Domagala promised to make bold statements every week to make the gay community proud. He said,

little challenge to wear a colour of the pride flag each week and hope that I could tick them all off… mission accomplished!

Janusz's remarks following GGBO

Even though he didn't make it to the finals, the amateur baker couldn't hide his gratitudefor the opportunity to compete in this season's bake off:

I love being able to be a part of so many different communities and Great Britain is a home that’s allowed me to do that,

He expressed his appreciation to the crew, his tent mates, and all the fans who saw him throughout the series:

Thank you SO much for taking me in and embracing me and for the love, support and fun over the last 9 weeks, and thank you to every person who was in that tent on and behind the camera with me who became family!

Domagala, by all accounts, gave the show his all to earn a spot in the finals, but it appears that his efforts did not please the judges, Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, enough to secure him a spot in the finals and ultimately win the crown.

Syabira, Sandro, and Abdul are the three contestants vying for the 'golden' baking stand and bouquet of flowers. Fans are waiting to see who takes home the controversial prize this week.

Janusz was born and bred in Poland before moving to the United Kingdom at the age of 24. The 34-year-old has since relocated to the southeast coast with his boyfriend, Simon, and their sausage dog, Nigel. His interests include internet culture, drag shows, movie collecting, and, of course, baking. Hismother inspired and nurtured his baking abilities.
