The first Love Island 2021 Islander has been reportedly revealed by The Sun as 24-year-old Harley Benn. Harley is the son of former world boxing champ Nigel Benn and has followed in his dad’s footsteps by becoming a star in the ring himself, launching his professional career in 2017.

A Love Island source who spoke to The Sun revealed:
Harley’s already got a huge following and gets loads of attention from the girls. He’s had video meetings with the casting team and everyone is very excited at the prospect of having him on the show.
Harley Benn for Love Island 2021
Although Harley isn’t the first 2021 Islander to be rumoured this year, we reckon this is by far the most credible rumour so far. The Love Island casting team appear to have a bit of a thing for both boxers and relatives of celebs. Like Love Island 2019 star Tommy Fury, Harley ticks both boxes.
What’s more, he’s also already represented by Off Limits Entertainment agency who are known to work with Love Island and manage the likes of Georgia Steel, Chris Hughes and Maura Higgins. Finally, unlike some of the other rumoured Islanders, he actually seems to be single, with no trace of a girlfriend on his Insta.
Love Island spokesperson responds
Harley, who currently has a verified Instagram account with a modest 8,545 followers, is yet to respond to reports of his involvement in Love Island 2021. Meanwhile, an official Love Island spokesperson refused to confirm or deny that Harley is in talks, simply saying:
No decisions have been made on the line up.
